Sustainable development through rural cooperatives: a case study

The work of the Anand Niketan Ashram (ANA) Rangpur, Vadodra district, Gujarat, India is described in working with tribes resettled in new areas by the Sardar Sarovar Project. This has mainly be achieved by organization and management of Mutual Aid Cooperative Societies (MACS), as well as the ANA. The work of the 54 MACS are reviewed.
