Sustainable game farming: considerations for Canadian policy makers and legislators

Game farming is a contentious issue despite its long history, worldwide. Confusion around the issue is reflected in Canadian provincial legislation, which shows an inconsistency in the approach to regulation of this industry. This paper examines existing legislation and the biological, socioeconomic and ethical factors which policy makers should consider when formulating legislation to regulate game farming.
