This chapter considers a business strategy on sustainable tourism from a largely tour operator and resort provider perspective. It examines the practical implications of sustainable development by showing opportunities for suppliers to increase turnover and profits by reducing costs. Sustainable tourism objectives are accepted as given, and how the industry can capitalize on the ecotourism market by meeting consumer demands is discussed.
