Sweet white lupin

Sweet white lupin

Rivista di Coniglicoltura 34(3/4): 30-31

Seeds of sweet white lupin (Lupinus albus) have a high content of DE, about 33-37% CP and a digestibility of about 87%. Alkaloid content is about half the maximum permitted amount and can be reduced further by extrusion. Experiments have shown that up to 21% white lupin can be included in diets for rabbits without adversely affecting gain, feed conversion or mortality or necessitating amino acid supplementation.
