, : The cattle tick and babesiosis-anaplasmosis in Santa Catarina State, Brazil. Revista Brasileira de Medicina Veterinaria 17(6): 257-259

Blood and tissue samples of cattle suspected of having babesiosis and anaplasmosis were examined in 134 of about 200 districts in Santa Catarina State, Brazil, between 1977 and 1989. The presence of Babesia bovis, B. bigemina and Anaplasma marginale was confirmed in cattle from 35 (27%) of the regions.
