, : The changes in endogenous levels of plant hormones during root and bud formation in tobacco leaf explants. Journal of Nanjing Agricultural University 19(2): 12-16

Endogenous IAA, CTK abscisic acid (ABA), and gibberellins (GA1 + 3) were measured by ELISA in root and bud primordia of regenerating tobacco Petit Havanna leaf explants cultured in the presence of exogenous NAA and 6-BA Before differentiation of primordia IAA levels were higher and CTK levels were lower in explants on root initiation medium than on bud initiation medium. ABA and GA1 + 3 levels peaked about 4 days before the formation of bud or root primordia.
