The characterization and localization of the mouse thymopoietin/lamina-associated polypeptide 2 gene and its alternatively spliced products

, : The characterization and localization of the mouse thymopoietin/lamina-associated polypeptide 2 gene and its alternatively spliced products. Genome Research 6(5): 361-370

Thymopoietins (Tmpos) are a group of ubiquitously expressed nuclear proteins, with sequence homology to lamina-associated polypeptide 2 (LAP2). The isolation and characterization of 7 mouse Tmpo mRNA transcripts named Tmpo alpha , beta , beta ', tau , epsilon , delta and zeta is reported. The alpha , beta and tau Tmpo cDNA clones are the mouse homologues of the previously characterized human alpha , beta and tau TMPOs respectively, whereas Tmpo epsilon , delta and zeta are novel cDNAs.
