The consequences of phenotypic plasticity in cyclically varying environments: a genetic algorithm study

, : The consequences of phenotypic plasticity in cyclically varying environments: a genetic algorithm study. Journal of Theoretical Biology 178(2): 135-144

The dynamics of evolution was examined under conditions of a cyclically varying environment. The rate of evolution of gene frequency, and mean population fitness, were shown to be decreased by environmental cycling.
