The conservation status of Acocks' veld types in KwaZulu-Natal

, : The conservation status of Acocks' veld types in KwaZulu-Natal. Lammergeyer ( 44): 50-63

Published contributions to the status of Acocks' Veld Type conservation are reviewed. The current status and area of each was examined and related to proclaimed nature reserves and to Natural Heritage Sites. Special considerations of Veld Types with regard to plant endemism and secondary vegetation are highlighted. Of the 18 Veld Types represented in KwaZulu-Natal seven are endemic or near endemic to the province.
