The conservation status of tree species

, : The conservation status of tree species. Quarterly Journal of Forestry 91(1): 37-42

Tree species are threatened with extinction around the world. Some are naturally rare species which are not directly utilized but are of biological interest and genetic importance. Others are commercially or locally valuable resource species which are declining because of over-exploitation and lack of sustainable management.
