The control of pollution of an agricultural origin in animal production

, : The control of pollution of an agricultural origin in animal production. INRA Sciences Sociales 9(4): 4 pp.

The programme introduced in 1993 by the Ministries of Agriculture and the Environment in France to control agricultural pollution (PMPOA) is examined from both a theoretical and economic viewpoint. The programme is aimed specifically at protecting domestic water resources from three main types of pollution: that caused by nitrates, plant protection products and the intensive methods used in animal production.
