, : The conversion of vegetation yield into animal production on temporary grassland at Moara Domneasca. Lucrari Stiintifice Universitatea de Stiinte Agronomice Bucuresti Seria A, Agronomie 37: 83-89

In 1988-91 at Moara Domneasca, irrigated pastures sown with (a) Digitalis glomerata + Trifolium repens + Lotus corniculatus or (b) D. glomerata + Festuca pratensis + Lolium perenne + T. repens + L. corniculatus were grazed at 2.5 animals/ha by 11- to 12- month-old Friesian heifers with initial liveweights of 226 kg/head. Over an average grazing period of 170 days/year, DM yields were 10.58 and 10.24 t/ha and protein yields 1.74 and 1.80 t on (a) and (b), respectively.
