Factors that affect the area under irrigated wheat, barley, potato, sunflower, sugarbeet and vetch in the central district of Erzurum province, Turkey, are determined using cost and supply functions for each crop compiled using 1993 farm data. The cost of producing one kilogram of wheat is 3823.94 LT; of barley 2007.83 LT; of potato 1343.19 LT; of sunflower 7238.01 LT; of sugarbeet 648.81 LT; and of vetch 1444.27 LT.
