The influence of pore water velocity on solute transport in unsaturated soils

Journal of Chinese Soil and Water Conservation 25(2): 61-71

The methods of power series expansion and numerical scheme were expanded to solve the vertical one-dimension flow equation and solute transport equations. The dispersion coefficient in the second equation was considered as a function of pore water velocity instead of water content. Results showed that the effects of infiltration and pore water velocity had a significant role in soils with high hydraulic conductivity and that the effect of infiltration increased with time.
