The migration of rural labour in economic development - investigation and consideration of the present situation of rural migration

The migration of rural labour in China at the present time and the differences in migration in different areas are discussed. The structure of migrant labourers is considered including sex, age, cultural and technological ability structure. Investigation of the development of the flow of rural labour suggests that it is likely to continue to increase but that the direction of flow will change.
