The stem of T. cordifolia is used in several Ayurvedic/Unani formulations for the treatment of diabetes (Dia-Dev), bacterial infection (Septillin), jaundice (Livfit and Phalatrikadi kasaya), and hypogonadism (M2 tone). It is also a constituent of a patent drug for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.
