Tuber yield and uptake of N, P and K in the leaves, stems and tubers as affected by nitrogen levels and haulms cutting in potato cv. Kufri Bahar

In field trials in 1986-88 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, potatoes Kufri Bahar were given 0, 50, 100 or 150 kg N/ha and haulms were cut 80, 90, 100, 110 or 120 d after planting. Tuber yield increased with rate of N application and with delay in haulm cutting. Uptake of N, P and K in tubers increased with N application rate and with delay in haulm cutting date except uptake of K which was highest with 100 kg N/ha.
