Validation of PRESEPT, a model for forecasting the risk of Septoria on winter wheat

A description is given of PRESEPT, a forecasting model based on climatic data, enabling simulation of S. nodorum epidemics on winter wheat. Results are given of studies in which the model was validated against climatic and disease records from the last 13 years, and in field trials carried out during 1990-93 in different locations in France.
