Variability of enzymatic activity and of isozyme patterns in populations of Elytrigia repens (L.) Desv

Variability of enzymatic activity and of isozyme patterns in populations of Elytrigia repens (L.) Desv

Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection 30(4): 353-363

The intra- and interpopulation variation in the reactions of adaptations of individuals of Elytrigia repens collected at different altitudes in eastern Germany were studied. The studies showed that populations differed in the activity of acid phosphatase, peroxidase and polyphenoloxidase, as well as in the variability of esterase and peroxidase-isoenzyme patterns. At altitudes lower than 400 meters, the variability was smaller.
