A promising red-fleshed pomelo variety Chandler

South China Fruits 28(5): 21

Chandler, a leading pomelo (pummelo, Citrus maxima) variety grown in the USA, was introduced into China in the 1970s. It performs very well in the Chongqing district; trees are vigorous, healthy, resistant to diseases, precocious and very productive. Fruits of Chandler are medium in size, weighing 1000 g on average, and nearly round in shape; rind is yellow and glossy.
