A study on the absorption of inorganic nutrients by Lactuca sativa

The uptake was studied of N, P, K, Ca and Mg by lettuces grown hydroponically in 4 different nutrient solutions Lettuces absorbed more inorganic nutrients from 2 of the solutions (A and D) than from the other 2 (B and C). They absorbed more N and K than P, Ca and Mg. During growth, nutrient uptake ability tended to decline continuously.
