A study on the analysis of heterotic effects for certain agronomical characters in cross populations of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)

Seven cytoplasmically male sterile (female) sunflower lines and 4 restorer (male) testers were crossed in all possible combinations and the 28 F1 hybrids were evaluated at the Experimental and Research Centre of the Faculty of Agriculture, Uludag University in 1994. In 1995, 28 F1 hybrids, 11 parents and a standard variety (a commercial hybrid variety) were tested.
