Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome presenting as disseminated cutaneous sporotrichosis - case report

A case of cutaneous sporotrichosis is reported in a previously asymptomatic 30-year-old HIV-positive man from Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, who presented in May 1997. Extensive cutaneous involvement was observed with suppurative collections and ulcerations. Sporothrix schenckii was cultured.
