An early maturing and high yielding bitter gourd F1 hybrid - 'Cuilu No. 1

Cuilu 1 is a F1 Momordica charantia hybrid derived by crossing early gynoecious line 19 with JiangXuan 105. This F1 hybrid variety has early maturity, high productivity, good quality and high resistance to stress. It is 10-15 days earlier and 91.5% higher in early yields and 38.1% higher in total yield than that of Jingmen broad-shoulder bitter gourd (the popular cultivar). The yield was 30 t/ha. Average weight per fruit was 0.4 kg.
