Assessment of avoidable yield loss due to insect pests in groundnut

In field trials in kharif 1995 and 1996 in Junagadh, Gujarat, India, groundnuts GG4 were treated with monocrotophos or not treated. Insect pest incidence was significantly higher in untreated plots, resulting in significantly lower yields.
