Bio-efficacy and economics of microbial agents in the field against major insect-pests of soybean in Madhya Pradesh

The bioefficacy and economics of six microbial agents were compared with triazophos in the field against Gesonia gemma, Chrysodeixis acuta and Melanagromyza sojae infesting soyabeans in Madhya Pradesh, India. Although triazophos was significantly more toxic and offered the maximum net profit of Rs. 2968/ha, all the microbial agents were found effective at reducing larval populations and stem tunnelling.
