A survey of the abundance and species composition of cereal aphid (Sitobion avenae, Rhopalosiphum padi and Metopolophium dirhodum) primary and secondary parasitoids was conducted in spring barley, winter wheat and durum wheat fields in Denmark during 1996 with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying aphid-parasitoid dynamics (which will be useful when developing biological control methods).
