The biology of the phorid genus Pseudacteon is summarized. Larvae of this genus decapitate workers of Solenopsis spp. and pupate inside the empty head capsule. Details are given of their life history, attack behaviour, mating behaviour, host specificity, and impacts on Solenopsis behaviour.
