The anthropogenic impairment of an area of the Sneznik forest, Czech Republic, was assessed by using ground beetle species as bioindicators. Ten soil traps in 9 locations (under birch (Betula verrucosa (6), spruce (1), pine (1), larch (1)) were monitored weekly throughout each growing season from 1986 to 1995.
