Comparison of four different methods for the detection of antibodies against infectious bursal disease virus

Comparison of four different methods for the detection of antibodies against infectious bursal disease virus

Chinese Journal of Veterinary Medicine 24(10): 10-22

Agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID), sandwich-block-ELISA, microplate reverse passive haemagglutination inhibition (RPHI) and micro tissue culture virus neutralization (TCVN) tests were applied for the detection of antibodies against infectious bursal disease virus. AGID and RPHI were better in repeatability. TCVN gave the best sensitivity followed by RPHI. In practical application, RPHI had more advantages over the other 3 tests.
