The biocontrol agents Trichoderma spp. and G. virens showed varying degrees of inhibition on growth of Phytophthora capsici, the cause of foot rot of black pepper Potassium phosphonate (Akomin), an antifungal compound was found to control root rot in black pepper. In integrated disease management programmes, compatibility of biocontrol agents with the fungicide is crucial.
