Concentration of fatty acids in meat of F1 bulls of crosses of Polish Black-and-White cattle with Italian beef breeds

Longissimus dorsi and semimembranosus muscle samples were obtained from 24 bulls that were crossbreds of Polish Black-and-White (PBW) cows with Piedmont, Chianina or Marchigiana bulls, and from PBW purebreds. The concentrations of 7 fatty acids were determined, and significant differences between the crossbreds and the PBWs were obtained for palmitoleic, oleic, and linoleic acids.
