Conservation tillage with Roundup can decrease cotton production costs

Conservation tillage with Roundup can decrease cotton production costs

1999 Proceedings Beltwide Cotton Conferences Orlando Florida USA 3-7 January 1999: 1: 735-738

Six weed management treatments, including RoundupReg. resistant cotton, were compared over 3 years in Texas, USA, for effects on cotton (Variety Paymaster 1220 RR) lint yields and production economics. Additional seed costs and technology fee were charged only to the treatments which included post-emergence glyphosate in the weed management programme. Average lint yields ranged from 471 to 581 lbs/acre, but were not statistically different among treatments.
