One hundred and eighty-four Large White pigs were used to compare performance in pens with electronic feeders (ad libitum feeding) with performance in commercial pens (restrictive feeding). Pigs were allocated to the 2 treatments by using the split-litter technique. Correlations between performance in the 2 systems were estimated.
