Detection of possible morphological markers for the early selection of salinity tolerant rice genotypes

Cultivos Tropicales 18(3): 87-90

Responses of rice cultivars Amistad-82 (susceptible to salt conditions) and Pokkali (salt tolerant) to different saline concentrations (0.4, 0.7 and 1.0%) were studied in order to identify possible morphological markers for salt tolerant genotypes. Germination, plant height, root system length, fresh and dry weights of above ground parts and root system were determined.
