Direct and residual effect of farmyard manure, irrigation and fertilizer on rainy season groundnut (Arachis hypogaea)-summer pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum) cropping sequence

Direct and residual effect of farmyard manure, irrigation and fertilizer on rainy season groundnut (Arachis hypogaea)-summer pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum) cropping sequence

Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences 68(2): 117-118

In field trials in 1990-93 at Junagadh, Gujarat, India on medium black soil, groundnuts were grown in the rainy season followed by Pennisetum glaucum and given 0 or 15 t farmyard manure/ha + the recommended rates of N (12.5 kg) and P (11.0 kg) fertilizers, half these rates or no NP and irrigated at 0.6, 0.8 or 1.0 irrigation water:cumulative pan evaporation (IW:CPE) ratio.
