Dynamics of changes in species composition of meadow mixtures on peat-muck soils in a long term experiment

Dynamics of changes in species composition of meadow mixtures on peat-muck soils in a long term experiment

Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie Skodowska Sectio E, Agricultura 52: 163-170

A survey of mixtures of 11 various plant species was conducted between 1987 and 1994. Data from a field experiment initiated in 1986 on a peat-muck soil near the Wieprz-Krzna Canal, Poland, showed that Dactylis glomerata was the most persistent and aggressive of all species, Phleum pratense persisted only in mixtures with D. glomerata, and Festuca pratensis was the least persistent.
