The effect of supplementary CO2 (0, 500, 1000 or 1500 ppm) on the growth of melons was investigated in a greenhouse in Korea Republic. CO2 treatments increased greenhouse and leaf temperatures, and promoted photosynthesis. Good quality fruits with low rates of infected and malformed fruits were produced in the presence of CO2 at 1000 ppm.
