Effect of Ca2+ related with NAA and BA on adventitious bud formation in midvein segments of hybrid Populus (Populus nigra var. betulifolia x Populus trichocarpa)

Effect of Ca2+ related with NAA and BA on adventitious bud formation in midvein segments of hybrid Populus (Populus nigra var. betulifolia x Populus trichocarpa)

Acta Horticulturae 447: 171-172

ISSN/ISBN: 0567-7572

Midvein segments of hybrid poplar (P. nigra var. betulifolia x P. trichocarpa) were cultured on woody plant medium (WPM) supplemented with with 0.2 mg BA and 0.01 mg NAA/litre and subcultured on WPM supplemented with 0.01 mg NAA and/or 0.2 mg BA/litre every 3 days for 2 weeks. NAA initiated adventitious bud formation within 3 days and BA maintained bud formation.
