Effect of Leucaena leucocephala pruning on the growth and productivity of maize (Zea maize) in an alley-cropping

An alley-cropping experiment, comprising five treatments, i.e., L. leucocephala prunings, prunings with 100 kg N/ha, prunings with 50 kg N/ha, 100 kg N/ha without prunings, and no prunings or N (control), was conducted to evaluate the effect of prunings on the growth and yield of maize in inceptisols in a sub-humid region of Bilaspur, India. Hedgerows were established at 4 m spacings and were maintained to 50 cm height.
