Effect of biofertilizers, gypsum and nitrogen on growth and yield of raya (Brassica juncea)

In a field experiment during the winter seasons of 1991/92 and 1992/93 on sandy loam soil at Gurgaon, Haryana, India, B. juncea RH 30 was given 0 or 125 kg gypsum/ha, 60 or 80 kg N/ha and was not inoculated or seed inoculated with Azotobacter or Azospirillum. Seed inoculation with Azotobacter or Azospirillum significantly increased seed yield in both years. Application of gypsum increased values of yield components and seed yield, and also increased seed oil content.
