Exposure to 40% and 80% of the 24 h LC<sub>50</sub> value of the molluscicidal component(s) of Abrus precatorius (abrin and glycyrrhizin), Argemone mexicana (protopine and sanguinarine) and N. indicum (oleandrin) caused a significant decrease in the levels of protein, free amino acid, DNA and RNA in the nervous tissue of L. acuminata.
