In a field experiment during rabi 1992/93 and 1993/94 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, B. juncea RLM 619 was grown at densities of 222 000, 266 000, 333 000 or 444 000 plants/ha and given 100, 125 or 150 kg N/ha. Yields were higher with 125 or 150 kg N than 100 kg.
