Effect of plant density and nitrogen levels on growth and yield of turmeric (Curcuma longa L.)

An experiment was conducted during 1994-95 to study the effect of different plant densities and N rates on vegetative growth, yield and yield attributing characters of turmeric in the transitional tract of Karnataka. Both plant density and N rate had a significant effect on vegetative characters, yield components, fresh rhizome yield and cured rhizome yield.
