Effect of rainfall on the roughness of the soil surface and infiltration of water in soils under two tillage systems

The objective of the present study conducted in a state in the arid region of the San Luis Potosi-Zacatecas highlands, Mexico, was to evaluate quantitatively the effect of the kinetic energy of simulated rainfall on surface roughness and water infiltration of a eutric Cambisol soil under two tillage systems. The tillage systems studied were: plowing plus disking, or traditional tillage (TT), and Zero tillage (ZT).
