P. digitatum and G. candidum were isolated from infected citrus fruits collected from cold storage in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Growth rates of the fungus at 5, 10, 20, 25, 30 and 35 degrees C were compared on agar and on fruit. The rate increased with increased temperature, reaching optima at 20 and 25 degrees , respectively, on agar and on fruits for P. digitatum and 30 degrees for G. candidum on both agar and fruit.
