During May-July, 1995, at the Research Institute of Animal Science at Kostinbrod, Bulgaria, milk yield and milk composition were determined for 66 crossbred sheep (Pleven Blackhead x Avasi x East Friesian) in late lactation. Samples were grouped depending on somatic cell count (SCC)(<400 000; 400 001-700 000; 700 001-1 000 000 and >1 000 000 cells/ml). There were generally few differences among the groups.
