Effect of thiamin seed presoaking on the physiology of Sorghum bicolor plants grown under salinity stress

Seed germination, transpiration rate, stomatal frequency, growth, and contents of chlorophyll, carotenoids, saccharides, proteins and some nutritive elements (Na, K, Ca, Mg) of sorghum plants were significantly lowered with increasing salinity levels using NaCl. On the other hand, free amino acids, including proline, and Na+ progressively accumulated as NaCl level increased.
