Abstract
In a field experiment at Gangavati, Karnataka, sugarcane cv. CoC 671, Co 85061, Co 8014 and Co 7219 were planted in November, December or January in 1991/92 and October, November or December 1992/93. The crops were harvested after 9-15 months growth. The highest yielding cultivar was CoC 671. Delaying planting decreased cane yield. There was cultivar x harvesting date interaction for yield.
