Effect of wheat residue management practices and fertilizers on productivity, nutrient removal and soil fertility of rice-wheat sequence

A field experiment was conducted at a research site at New Delhi, India during 1992-93 and 1993-94 to study the effect of wheat residue management practices and fertilizer application on productivity, nutrient removal and soil fertility of a rice-wheat sequence. The total productivity and nutrient removal (N, P and K) were due more to straw incorporation and balanced fertilization with NPK and Zn.
